The all new Z 250SL; Super light, Superb design, and Superior control

SL stands for Super Light and with 250cc, I was a bit understate by its theoretical facts due to its low cc. My guessing was wrong. Riding it for the first time, I was literally terrified for its lightweight and nimbleness, it was too light and the power plant was too smooth. The Kawasaki Z 250SL shares the same engine that powers KLX 250 which is proven to be bullet prove due to its reliability. Packs with 28PS @ 7000RPM and a maximum Torque of 22.6Nm @8200RPM churning out from a single cylinder water cooled engine is good enough to handle Malaysian roads as a beginner. Talking about cooling and radiators, Kawasaki has implemented a new design that channels hot air from the automated fan fitted on the radiator directly to the bottom. This clever idea avoid unnecessary hot air blow directly on riders thigh. Mated to it is a 6 speed return gearbox, nothing to who haa about it, but the power was smooth with a noticeable high end torque. I was expecting some vibration due to single cylinder engine, but surprisingly the vibrations were checked and kept at minimum. Thanks to Kawasaki engineers, the riding experience was silky smooth. Engine noise is well insulated but not into my personal taste since I am an all time inline 4 admirer. Zipping through open roads, this quarter litre street fighter can cruise comfortably at 120km/h and there is still enough room to throttle more, but beyond 120km/h mark, the acceleration was rather slow. Any how it is 250cc, and it does a pretty well job in delivering power when required.
